Baths
There
are many types of bath to choose from. These are divided
into categories depending on size, shape and material.
Size
A variety of sizes are available to
suit the size and shape of a bathroom. Some are designed
to be more compact and fit into a limited space, whilst
others make full use of the space available.
Shape
The shapes of baths available vary from traditional
rectangular baths to corner baths, and beyond these
simple shapes to allow for the varying sizes of bathroom.
Freestanding
baths are of rectangular shape, but do not have
side panels or fixing to the wall. They are available as
a high back and roll top bath.
Shower baths as the name indicates,
have a wider area at one end to allow for a showering
area. Double ended situates the taps within the centre
of the bath allowing for relaxation at both ends of
the bath. Traditional
corner whereby both the length and width of the
bath are the same size, whereas with the offset corner
the length and width are different dimensions.
Material
There are two specific bath materials, cast
iron and acrylic,
the former being the more traditional durable bath whilst
the latter is lighter in weight and available in more
shapes and sizes.
